Pakistan’s sex trade – by Kate Orne

Kate Orne has been photographing the victims of Pakistan’s sex trade for the past 5 years and is the only photographer to date to be allowed inside the brothels.

From her blog on the Huffington Post:

Kate Orne, a photographer, has spent the past nine years focused on equality issues in Pakistan. She is the only photographer to be allowed inside the brothels to document the prostitutes and their children, madams, pimps and trafficking victims who are living stigmatized under cultural oppression.

Since 2005, she has worked actively with the local residents and supported their efforts to strengthen their community and build a safer future for their children. To learn more, please visit MayYouNeverBeUncovered.org.

No She is not the only photographer that has been allowed into the brothels to take pictures. I have been doing it for many years for my personal project and private collection of brothels around the world. Which I never intend to publish.
